Playforest does not have a parking lot, however ample street parking is available on the neighborhood streets around our building. During peak times, nearby parking may fill up and parking up to a couple of blocks away is sometimes required.

Please note that attendance can vary widely, however Playforest is typically busiest between 9 AM – 11:30 AM and quietest from around Noon – 3 PM.

Playforest does not allow outside food to be consumed on the premises. We provide a variety of nutritious snack and beverage options for sale at the front desk and are currently working on adding additional packaged choices to our menu.

Yes! You’ll find a selection of snacks and beverages available for sale at our front desk snack bar.

Our new Brooklyn location also features a retail shopping area selling educational toys, games, and tools, imaginative play accessories, decor, new and vintage clothing, and much much more.

This new shop specially features the goods of many of our favorite local makers handcrafting items such as textiles, birth stone jewelry, sensory bins, natural art kits, stained glass decor, children’s foodware, etc.

We ask that all guests remove their shoes when inside our play facility.

Playforest requires that children wear quality anti-skid socks for all areas,  We stock our favorite brand of grippy socks for purchase ($4/pair at the door).

Playforest features a large main indoor play space for all of our age groups but with some sections leaning towards younger or older guests. Our special mix of well-made imaginative, sensory, and motor play materials inspire quality play for a large age range of young children!

For infants, young toddlers, or those needing a little extra quiet, you can enjoy Sarah’s Literacy Room, a new space curated by Sarah from Literacy Lady PDX for her workshops. Whenever Sarah doesn’t have a class scheduled, guests are free to use her room as a calm play space with their little ones.

We are currently hard at work on:

Event Space – A separate room for hosting events such as birthday parties at Playforest. Those in an event party will have access to this private space as well as the main play areas and outdoors. Bonus – when there’s no event taking place, the party room will be an extension of our main play area and feature special exhibits such as an interactive stage play area, light-based activities, costumes, and more!

Messy Art / Sensory – Dedicated to the ‘art of getting messy’ – a room specially equipped for a daily hands-on creative invitation that kids will find irresistible to the senses!

Upgrades to Outdoor Space – More shade / weather coverage structures coming! So much more outdoor play to come including every kiddos favorite – water play!
